The M#245 Custom builds on Atelier Z’s modern 34" scale bass platform, combining the familiar clarity and powerful active electronics of the M#245 with a distinctive custom specification.

Built with an Ash 2-piece body and Maple neck with Ebony fingerboard, it delivers fast attack, strong note definition and a tight, focused low end. The Ebony fingerboard adds to the distinctive feel and appearance of this particular Custom model.

At its core is the Bartolini XTCT + Spectrum Boost preamp — a low-noise, 3-band EQ system offering precise control over bass, mid and treble frequencies. This circuit is derived from the well-known TCT platform and is known for its transparency, headroom and musical response.

Equipped with Atelier Z JBZ-4 pickups, the M#245 Custom retains clarity and articulation across playing styles — from clean fingerstyle to punchy slap tones.

This Custom model is finished in Matt Black with a matching headstock and black hardware, giving the M#245 a particularly understated, modern appearance.

Hand-built in Japan, every detail — from the Gotoh hardware to the original Atelier Z bridge — reflects a focus on reliability, consistency and performance.
